The Internet of Things connects billions of devices across the world, allowing machines, sensors, and systems to exchange data and automate processes. However, transmitting all data to centralized cloud systems can create delays and bandwidth challenges.
Edge computing addresses this challenge by processing data closer to where it is generated—at the edge of the network. This approach improves speed, reduces latency, and enables real-time decision-making in applications such as autonomous vehicles, smart factories, and healthcare monitoring systems.
This course introduces learners to the technologies behind IoT devices and edge computing frameworks. Students will understand how connected systems collect data, process information locally, and interact with cloud platforms to build intelligent solutions.
